The second edition of the project "Management, Implementation and Monitoring of the Regional Innovation Strategy of the Silesia Voivodeship" is co-funded by the European Union from the European Social Fund under the Sub-measure 8.2.2 Regional Innovation Strategies in Human Capital Operational Programme 2007-2013.

Project aims:
Strengthening the economic potential of the region by assuring a constructive climate and favourable conditions for the innovation development and knowledge-based economy. 

Objectives:

• to tailor the environments of science, research, industry and local-governments in the process of creating and development of a durable platform for innovative cooperation, 
• to promote and support innovative culture among actors of the RIS and members of the region,
• to exploit best practices as inspiration to undertake innovative activities and flagship of the region,
• to create and improve facilities for strategic management of innovation development.

Pilot actions within the project:

1.  Creating 2009-2013 Executive Programme for the 'Regional Innovation Strategy of the Silesia Voivodeship 2003-2013'.
2.  Beginning works on updating the 'Regional Innovation Strategy of the Silesia Voivodeship 2003-2013'.
3.  Creating 'Technology Development Programme of Silesia Voivodeship for the 2010-2020'.
4.  Regional Platform for Innovation Development:

• expanding data of Internet service INNOBSERVATOR SILESIA,
• clusters and science and technology parks- experts panels, trainings, seminars, briefings, developing handbook of Best practices and model solutions for implementations,
• networks animators.

5.  Human resources for innovation - post-graduate studies, module of training sessions and workshops, informational meetings.
6.  Monitoring and evaluation of the RIS - Establishing Innovation Development Observatory of the Silesian Voivodeship:

• creation and updating of regional statistical database in terms of innovation, science and technology,
• surveys on information needs in terms of innovation,
• surveys and evaluations on progress of RIS implementation,
• expertise - clusters of the Silesia Voivodeship.

7. Promotion of RIS and innovation in the region:

• development a Plan of Promotion of Innovation for 2010-2015,
• Silesia Center of Documentation of Innovation,
• INNOSILESIA regional competition,
• promotional and informative campaign.
