Support for the research infrastructure of the Silesian Voivodeship under the Regional Operational Program of the Silesian Voivodeship for 2014-2020 (5.09.2019)
An information meeting was held in Katowice on September 5, 2019, under action 1.1 - research infrastructure of key importance for the region under the Regional Operational Program of the Śląskie Voivodship 2014-2020. The meeting was an opportunity to discuss the future of the region in the context of the "InnoHEIs" project being implemented.
The meeting was attended by scientific units, universities and entrepreneurs. At the meeting, the competition rules, project selection criteria and rules for preparing a grant application were presented. 14 scientific units (including 8 universities) will apply for funding.
Support under action 1.1 will include in particular investments in key research infrastructure to create and commercialize innovative solutions in the most promising sectors of the region's economy. Research infrastructure will be used for conducting business and non-economic activities.
The scope of the "InnoHEIs" project was discussed, in particular its strategic objective is to enhance the contribution of Higher Education Institutions and their Research and Innovation infrastructure to the regional innovation performance creating the favourable environment for interactive engagement of business and industry and collaboration among Quadruple Helix actors addressing regional societal challenges.
